Bring back Paolo the mad bastard he would do the job in this league I reckon.

The Fleetwood game would be very interesting as well :emoticon-0146-punch
Apart from being mad, he demanded the highest standards of professionalism. By God our club needs that.

THAT DOES NOT MEAN I WANT HIM BACK

It means we need a manager / dof / technical director that changes the entire mentality of the club

We need someone to come in and just start rattling cages and ****house our way onto a run of wins and get some momentum.

We aernt arrogant enough I actually wish Ross had some of Joey Barton’s idiocy, sometimes you just need to stick your chest out and say we are the biggest club in this division and we are gonna dominate.

PDC would kick them up the arse.

I cant disagree with joey barton- he will really wind them up- we always have liked toerags and vagabonds here so why not- he would comes

True he is mental, but I'm struggling to think of someone that would come either before or after the takeover

Genuinely think Chris Hughton could be an option after the takeover. Definitely have better options currently, but many will be at clubs either struggling in the PL, or hoping to get there, who will then struggle and might well kick him out to try and get a new manager bounce. We could offer him a chance to come somewhere where he might be able to build something and where, if he does well enough considering the backing we might well get, he could be the man to bring us back to the PL which would look very good on his CV and then give him a chance in the PL with, hopefully, a competitive budget. Can't say for certain that he'd go for it but he might, and he'd be a very good choice if we could get him, not as radgy as Keane, not as dodgy as Allardyce, just a good man who also seems to be a talented, smart manager. Imagine he'd also happily work with a DoF if we went down that route

Would you prefer Ross over him?

Houghton is an interesting one, is he seen as negative because his hands have been tied money wise or because that's his philosophy

Not sure, but either way he seems to have done pretty well everywhere he's been which I trust more than managers who have been good once (like at St mirren!). Being good once might just be a happy set of circumstances with some luck and a good set of lads. Doing it at different clubs suggests you can accurately assess a club and improve it. Style of play can wait as far as I'm concerned, I just want someone who can get results. Failing that then aye, someone with massively high standards like Keane who wouldn't accept dropping any points in this division never mind excusing continuous ****e

Why do fans always look at previous failures? You would be on donalds back 5 hames in when we lost game after game- we need proper coaching in Defence and attack

It's just because he done a good job when we picked him at down at this level.

Our players clearly aren't fit and they have no fight in them. With the team that we have we should be doing a lot better than we currently are and the team doesn't look fit.

If you had to choose now between Ross or PDC to get you promoted this season then hire new manager afterwards, who would you pick?

It doesn't help that the likes of Liverpool, Man. Utd. and Arsenal are picking off our best up and coming prospects at schoolboy/youth level. We are then replacing them with rejects from Liverpool, Man. Utd. etc, so weakening our U23, youth teams. Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

Who were the 2 that Liverpool took?

If you look where Houghton has been, I'd suggest it's more money and expectation related.

If he would come and was backed I think he would flourish. Everything you read about him is positive and praises him

What happened to the high pressing attacking football Ross promised ?

This is a question I’ve posed. When we played St Miren and yes I know not fantastic opponent however we played a high attacking press that day and I really thought it was the way we were going to play.

Donald also made the reference when he first appointed him that he plays a brand of football that we can get excited by.

Points more to the fact is he’s so terrified of failure as in my personal opinion he’s out of his depth.

I think he's spot on and we haven't got much money.

But they still had to keep it open surely? Genuine question I’m not an expert. But if they did, surely £2m is quite a bit of money for a league 1 team.
I just think while there maybe questions to ask, and criticisms to be made, paying to maintain category 1 status is an unnecessary one. And I suppose it depends what you believe, and that’s fine, but I’m pretty sure SD said in a very early podcast we were at risk of losing cat 1 status
Maybe that's why they are selling a lot of the kids, to finance it maybe ?
