I don't like admitting it for some reason, but I'm going to "come out". It was my birthday last Saturday. I accidently let out a clue back then, which was not intended, but I'm going for it. What the hell. And Happy Birthday Jabbo.
Arlene Foster on C4 news. No wonder industry is worried, looks like she's swallowed an ugly pill factory.
Cheers Chilcs, I am unground and can only hope that somehow sense will prevail and we stop brexit and the yokes on spaffer, Moggladyte, rabbid and co.
I’m in sympathy with your first sentence completely. Your second sentence, for me, I found offensive. I know some who attended that conference, they are not fascists by any measure, they would be with anyone who would defend this country against such terrible forces. I understand and respect different views from my own but I cannot ignore such statements, whatever the source of such anger might be that propels the thoughts as you have expressed. Both sides in this mess we are in need to moderate their terms, whether they be in government or in the opposition. Let’s recognise that each of us has a right to be heard, and a right to challenge. None of us has a licence to malign others by placing inaccurate or unproven offensive labels on their backs.
I agree that most of the gullible fools at the Tory Party conference are a long way from being fascists. But you have to admit, there are so many parallels between what their leadership are doing at the moment and the rise of the Nazis in Germany (don’t take it from me, watch it on the iPlayer) that it is beyond chilling. The Prime Minister complaining to his party about how Parliament is a waste of time. And this going on simultaneously with a debate in the Commons on domestic abuse, which was one of the most powerful and deeply moving things I have ever seen. That, by the way, was a debate that wouldn’t have taken place if the Supreme Court hadn’t ruled that proroguing Parliament was illegal. The Prime Minister, breaking the law, and being proud of it, just to show his sycophantic friends he was boss. A debate, by the way, he might have been better off attending himself, although he may well have felt a lot of what was said was uncomfortably close to home. Sickening beyond belief.
Johnson is a serial liar, an opportunist, a hypocrite, a law breaker, a sex pest, a distorter of facts, a manipulator, a Brexit profiteer, he is anti democratic and that is a fraction of his faults so please tell me who would think he is the right person to lead our country. Who would want to applaud such a low life? No one but a gullible fool or a fascist and I will continue to say that while a have air in my lungs.
And as long as I remain a member of the Conservative Party I will, along with the thousands of others with a similar approach to politics, defend your right to have your view and to share it with others. Let me make this clear, I’m neither a gullible fool nor a fascist and no-one can ever place either of those labels on my back without my permission or evidence to support such offensive labels.
Then we have different opinions. However I will never forgive Johnson and his cronies for what they are doing and I cannot forgive those who support him.
Maybe you will change your mind about Johnson when he’s finally thrown in jail. Your party has been hijacked by the far right, any semblance of One Nation Conservatism has been replaced by the philosophy of doing whatever it takes to make the super-rich richer at the expense of everyone else, and if you can’t see that perhaps you are a gullible fool.
That and more, obnoxious gobshite Johnson and his cronies, deserve all the **** that could ever fall on them.
Do you support spaffer Johnson and his cronies? Deluded and gullible if you do are the least of the labels.
