Firstly because he's a bit of a politician and what he says can't always be taken at face value.
Secondly this is a chat forum where people chat about stuff.
Thirdly, it's harmless.
Fourthly he hasn't said that it's far from done, you may have imagines that.
Why do you need to bring your negativity into this forum. PF is clearly your milieu.

I have been on this forum a day and I am now having to put someone on ignore.
That same poster is detested on PF so he now feels a need to pollute this forum.
They add zilch to places like this.

Just report them, the Mods will quietly observe and ban them without warning if they're obviously trying to spoil the board for decent people.
Well aye, some thought there would be Netflix cameras in Consett, others thought it might be announced before the match, it obviously isn't that advanced. He has, however, said its more than 50/50 and when someone said it wasn't happening he said "not at all, don't be so negative". So it's fair to say he thinks it'll go through. He also said to expect a resolution in one to two weeks. So putting 2 and 2 together he thinks it'll go through and has given a timeframe, I don't see anything to be negative about there
