Mate she's about 12 and not an adult.
She should be protected and allowed to live a child's life not be used for politics.
It wouldn't surprise me if it destroyed her entire life.

I am however sceptical when I hear the same **** being said vis a vis time scales that was being spouted literally 30 years ago
The Arctic is losing ice at an unprecedented rate though. It's expected to be ice free in summer before mid century. If Kerry is out by 30 years, that's merely the blink of an eye in the grand scale of time.
The stuff that was being said 30 years ago was that we need to reduce our carbon output, or that we'd face a future of climate change. We've done basically nothing since and now we're seeing the beginnings of these predictions starting to happen.

Not at all, I'm always open to people showing me the error of my ways or giving something to think on. I'm a proud badge wearing fence sitter and firmly believe that there are not enough people who look at both sides of an argument with the mindset to change. The modern world is full of idiots who will not listen and refuse to change their mind as if it's some slight to their character if they have to backtrack and say "sorry I got that wrong". It would be a better world if people chilled out and looked at all aspects of an argument other than refusing to budge because "I want to be right"!
It is, the argument against is that we'll have a period of stability and the Arctic ice will naturally increase again. Problem with that is that there's no real evidence to suggest that. Not that I've read anyway.
Shell and Exxon knew that climate change was real as far back as the 70s.
They've been paying for propaganda to prevent anyone addressing it ever since.
I really don't get the fuss about Thunberg. She seems to upset people a lot for very little reason.
People endlessly slag her off, but rarely address anything that she's actually talking about. They just rage.
Is she doing anything new? No. So why the explosive reaction?

The developing World and mass migration is killing the Workd .
Africans having 8 children is killing the World .
There are too many people already we need a plague to wipe out a few billion.
The same people like Pixy that think the World will end are the same people that want unrestricicted mass migration.
Where are all the people going to live , we build homes and infrastructure to accommodate them until everything is covered in concrete .
When I was a kid we were told that the Russians may end up nuking us and we will die of radiation sickness .
If we do get wiped out then it's probably for the best .

This isn't a natural climate warming event. All of the evidence points to it being humans that are creating an exponential rate of warming, the effects of which will have far reaching effects on all life on Earth.
The planet may cool again, perhaps in a couple of thousand years after we've wiped ourselves out from the face of it ?

John Kerry said unequivocally that by 2013 the Antarctic will be ice free.

I don't think the world will end. The science is saying that we could make the planet inhospitable for billions of people though.
You're right that it probably would be best for the planet if we did wipe ourselves out though.
