Watched Bad Times at the El Royale last night, really good film, if a tad weird. Felt like a Tarantino.
A few in there I definitely need to see. Agree on Star Wars too. The originals are absolute classics but the series has unfortunately been diluted by ****e.
Rates very highly in the Rolling Stone greatest ever sci-fi AND horror charts Carpenter at his very best.
That wasn't called 'The Thing'. That as 'The Thig From Another World'. It as an excellent film though. I watched it with my dad when I was a nipper.
The plot is the same, they simply dropped the 3 minor words from the original title, which has always been known as The Thing, even the poster has it as the main title. please log in to view this image Although he probably did mean the 1980's remake.
Was good back in the day when you could watch 18 rated horror with your Dad without fear of growing up a mass murderer
I remember my dad watching Nightmare on Elm Street and letting me watch with him, can't remember exactly how old I was but I'm going to say about 7/8. Scared the **** out of me and him saying "just go to sleep and forget about it" was possibly the worst parenting I think I've ever heard of
I watched the original Amytiville(sp) Horror with my Dad...gave me nightmares for years but on the plus side, it was nice chillin with my dad
I've never been a huge fan. Watched a few recent ones and they aren't so much scary as just trying to make you jump constantly. Is ****ing annoying some weird nun thing or clown popping out every 10 mins suprising you.
