Exactly. Four rounds, four mistakes from VAR. VAR is subjective, so it's always going to **** it up. Might as well just leave it to the ref to **** it up.
Interesting, because I always remember seeing a programme about Premiership referring just before VAR came in. Yet never ever discussed, can't remember the actual programme now, but they looked back over season regarding all the disputed referee decisions, and they only found ONE that was a costly error. ONE!?...yet the governing bodies still justify the use of VAR.
This is why it doesn't work for me. Other than goal line tech and possibly the offside call, everything else is subjective. So there's always going to be a grey area and decisions will therefore always be contested. I think referees, whilst they made mistakes, generally tried to operate within the spirit of the game. But what we're seeing with VAR is an attempt to be black and white, yet they still can't remove their bias and it's leading to more mistakes not less.
I can almost guarantee that the peple who were operating VAR still have jobs, despite ****ing up the easiest job in the world.
@Archers Road What you reckon of your chances against Sheffield United? Just doing my super 6 - got a feeling you might win.
Cheers. I just had an inkling you might get an away win - not sure why. Got a result against Brighton away for example and took a point off of United last game.
So are Championship top clubs cheating and finding a way round the finanical fair play rules?... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49687098
Could end up dodgy as **** that, I wonder what the reaction among the fans was as I certainly wouldn't want that to happen down here.
So fook the rules then, we just sell our ground to the owner he leases it back and we've made a profit
We never did find out at our place how Scally managed to lose £13M debt, after buying our ground then selling it back to us again. It's like the debt mysteriously disappeared.
That's alright until they turn into another Bury or Bolton or Coventry or........we just don't learn.
