I was on a cruise around the Med when we lost the first test.

I can honestly say that all of the Aussies on the boat I spoke to were fantastic.

The banter was light hearted and there was no arrogance or nastiness, just the kind of piss taking you’d expect.
They gave it and took it in good spirits.

Makes you wonder where they get their cricketers from because they appear to be the polar opposite.

Absolute arseholes.
I was recently on holiday in Sydney and i found the Aussie people very nice and polite ....even went to the scg for the guided tour and the people there were fantastic even though i had an england cricket shirt on!!.....as you say why are the cricketers such knob jockeys....not good ambassadors for an amazing country that is a fact

If they had an opener playing decent right now he would have been dropped ... unfortunately its white ball season in pur domestic cricket so there are no takers able to step up. I too think its sensible to stay with Roy .. he is class when he gets in but the movement of the red cherry at the top of the innings is is causing him too many headaches right now til he adapts.
A shame, but you were proven right.

Well he would wouldn't he, you don't get this from 'slipping'.

He's a misogynist creep and shouldn't have been honoured.
It does send a wrong message.

Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke failed to win an Ashes series in England, they couldn’t even manage a draw yet this joker has.

He’s very lucky to have Smith, very lucky indeed.

Our batting is pure and utter ****e though. Test match cricket never used to be like this and as other people have indicated, T20 has a lot to answer for.

I'm going Saturday, fully expect to see Aus declare on about 600 then knock over 3 of ours by the close. The only good thing is I've got a hospitality ticket so I'll likely be plastered...

I understood about Roy being dropped but I couldn't understand why they didn't replace him with another specialist batsman. Or can they only replace from the declared squad of 12?

A very poor days cricket from England.
The wicket is flat but the Austrailians knew that they would be no English resistance.
Given wickets away and a none bowler (Marsh) has had a field day.
Watching on Sky they don't have an opinion anymore the commentery is so flat.
Say something England have been poor it's ok to say it.
Now weasel rat boy Ponting is on
Aussie twat
