While I dont think Roy is a test player at all but everyone has to start somewhere. So far he has settled well today Big day for Tim Paine. Already changed his tactics after a few overs. If today doesnt go well for the Aussies there will be serious question marks over him

They've just shown a graphic on the TV which shows how relentlessness Australia have been with the ball in this innings. There's one - maybe two - bad balls. This trio is remarkable. There !!! So I dont expect any excuses about how bad england played or persecution of individual players!!! Australia have once again shown England how to play cricket .
No, not really as the Oval will be packed to the rafters next week with the full expectation of us winning that to level and draw the series. It's not giving up in this case, it's acceptance that we'll lose and that we are currently captained by an arrogant clown. This test a lot rested on winning the test. The same applies at the Oval. Win toss, bat first and get a big enough score to know fine well you can't lose. Scoreboard pressure, as it's known. That then affects the bowling strategy as you've a total you can defend. I would have more confidence in England doing that at the Oval than I would trying to bowl the Aussies our cheaply first innings.
