Worms on the PS. Few mates after school chipping in for an ounce of hash smashing that game, got real testy
Wreckfest is a modern take on it and pretty good. I presume it has online multiplayer although never tried it.
twas I. i've still got it somewhere but ****ed if i know where it is after i moved half the contents of the house into the garage while we had some work on the house done last year .
think i would have been in my mid twenties at least and i still loved it. Basically you & a mate or NPC went round this world killing everything until you fought the big boss , after disposing of the tanks , but that description really doesn't do it justice .
River Raid on the old Atari was my favourite as a kid. The Atari with the joystick with 1 red button. It was on a cartridge, very high tech.
First football game I played was ‘Striker’ on the Nintendo...had indoor 5 a side league on it too...was decent stuff
can't remember the name, but it was on a commodore 64. the only thing I can remember about it were diagonal shots on target were always a goal. Best was Kick-off 2. none of this ball sticking to your foot to dribble nonsense, you had to actually control it. If you could dribble the ball, you were a grandmaster, I generally played long-ball and hoped for a FK or some legs in the box so I could fallover them for the pen.
It's mad that Computer games have gone from cassette tapes on green screens to being more important than anything else like girlfriends and kids and real friends.
