They probably had to for media/sponsors reasons to be fair, I think these pre season friendly tournaments always have presentations don't they?

Which doesn't deflect from it being cringe worthy.

If City or Pool had won it on the back of their trophies from last season, then such a celebration would go under the radar... but when all you have managed is a 'sustained challenge' as a distant also ran it is pretty embarrassing to wildly celebrate such a tin pot 'tournament' <laugh>

I agree it's cringeworthy just pointing out that they probably had no choice.

Get over yourself!

Sure, one of our players cried, and told the media that it felt great to “win our first trophy,” but I don’t see how that’s embarrassing.
