My main takeaway from this is nobody wanted to ask Chav fans their opinion

I love the way we've randomly started turning up in other fanbases rivalries! <laugh>
3rd in Man City's?! 5th in Southampton's?! Absolutely miles ahead of Millwall in West Ham's?
Also quite funny that Arsenal have Stoke in 4th and Everton seem to just be randomly guessing after Liverpool.

If anyone wants to explain Newcastle fans' beef with Villa, I'd love to hear it

I get the main rivalries for all these clubs.
After that, I'm baffled.

EDIT: Except City - Utd are their biggest rivals whatever the surveys say
Some of them make sense. The midlands clubs all picking each other, for example.
Brighton and Palace is nonsense, but we all know about it.
Bournemouth and Leeds? It's Leeds. Everton and Newcastle? Nope. Norwich and Boro? Erm...

Loving...

  • Norwich fans giving Colchester 2nd place - old school baby!;

  • the discrepancy between some rivalries - West Ham (82%) v Tottenham (53%) for example;

  • Palace are so short of rivals that they had to rope in Watford;

  • despite being abhorrent in every respect, Chelsea aren't anybody's main rival - no history, you see.

I have no idea if it runs deeper but according to the Newcastle fans I know, I think it stems from the fact that Aston Villa relegated them away at Villa Park when Shearer managed Newcastle for a bit and their fans probably sang something funny and inoffensive to the travelling Geordie faithful at the time to spark a reaction.

There must be something more but they're still all busy being pissed off about that, as far as I'm able to tell.
