I agree that we didn't seem to care much about this game.
Also, the substitutions did not add to the game but actually diminished it. With that said, Warburton has made excellent substitutions in all other games, which again leads me to believe he wasn't bothered about this game.
I hope he was bothered by the game. Fans pay good money and give up their time to go see the team play.
I’m fed up with a succession of managers seemingly not giving a pimpled arse about cup ties.
Presumably, it’s compulsory to participate in both the Carabao and FA cups? If so, I suggest they remove this obligation and let clubs decide if they want to compete or not. At least we’d then see proper competition and not just when teams think they might actually get to Wembley.
Whilst we’re at it, two cup competitions are a waste of time and a needless distraction. Lose the Carabao Cup altogether.
Lose the UEFA league or whatever the **** it’s called and just have the Champions League... but, of course, call it something else.
That dispenses with the Super Cup too... which is good.
