Johnny Kidd died in a car crash in1966. Saw him 1963 time. Very good band live but even then they weren’t the original Pirates as they had split before that.
In the car with Kidd was Pete Simper who was only 17 and went on to be a founder member of Deep Purple.

 

But I know who they are.

 

All this pales into insignificance compared to being with @Ron Burguvdy and speaking to Beki Bondage in New York before her gig with Vice Squad at Tower
