I seem to recall there was a fearful rumpus at the Damned @ the City Hall on 1979.

Concert abandoned halfway through due to excessive disorder among the punters.

Ironic really.
i saw the damned at hull uni and the gig was evacuated cos of a bomb scare.maybe chaos was part of there act??

At a certain point in the tumult the bouncers just looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders.

Was the Leeds U.U. gig '73 (May), '74 (June) or '75 (Nov) ?
I ask because I'm looking for anecdotes from attendees of Leeds University Student Union gigs from Aug '64 to June '06 - the latter being the year of the reprieve of the "Who Live at Leeds" concert. I'm collating stuff for a potential "book" !

Scouting for Girls there tonight

If you’re going I’d recommend seeing the early support act, King No One. They were really good at Sesh

I heard of them years ago.

One of the posters on the Justin Guitar Forum(If you play guitar you'll know who he is) is the uncle of the guitar players.

Coming back home to see Spear of Destiny at the Polar Bear on the 22nd Sept.

Watching them perform in Manchester the night before with some Hull mates.

My mate asked me to go to see SOD I've just made that up.
But I declined as I'm miserable old git.
Maybe I should go Vic.

Last time I saw them was at City Hall...

Was at the City Hall gig also. I took a few of the lads who had traveled from out of town following Spear, to Spiders that night and had a good laugh.

First time I saw Kirk Brandon sing live was at the Tower, at a Theatre of Hate gig , probably 1982. Been watching them ever since with mates from Hull.

Couldn't pass up the chance to come home and see them again.

Enjoy your night if any of the lads off here are going.
