Stokes wins the World Cup, now single handedly keeps the ashes series open.

Pity England don’t have 10 more with his guts and determination!

Well done Kiwi legend Ben Stokes

That umpire should be ****ing sacked, tragic decision for the LBW. Was he the same one who kept ****ing up in the first test?

    <wah><wah>

PS if they hadn't wasted their last review when everyone & his dog knew it was not out the umpires decision wouldn't have mattered -which just makes it sweeter <cheers>

The review point is a fair one, but it was so blatantly out I can’t understand how a supposedly top umpire can’t give it.

    Anyway keeps the series interesting,

Old Trafford next and if my ,admittedly variable, memory serves me right think that was the venue after Bothams Headingley heroics.
Please let that be an omen.

    Was at that match.

Bothams 118 (I think) was best test innings I'd seen until today!

He hit a six straight over my head and you could see the union Jack I'd taken, was waving it over my head.

    Borrowed it from scouts!

    jammy sod
watched on the box . i was on the rock'n'roll at the time, and spent most of the day alternately cheering & laughing .
    Happy memories

PS his OT innings was technically the better innings but these things have to take the "moment" into account.

Just giving everyone some false hope, Super Steve Smith will be back next test and normal service will resume

Spot the England cricket fans by the pool during the last 45 minutes of play today. Headphones in and telling their kids that, no I don’t want to go for another swim, ask your mum.

    I meant the OT innings.

I wasn't at Headingley, was at Old Trafford the Saturday and saw every shot of that century.

Including cutting Dennis Lillie for a six over point, ball was never more than 10 feet off the ground!

for fairly obvious reasons i'm a tad pissed so thats my excuse for the misunderstanding but yeah that OT innings was a truly jaw dropping innings .
