Imagine a future England line up with Maddison and Mason Mount controlling the midfield <ok>

Thanks for that Cromer and I believe the last time we failed to score was aginst 'ull, in abysmal weather and when the groundstaff intentionally left the grass longer than normal, so as to disrupt our passing game and Trybull missed a sitter!!!

Stoke manager is in some serious trouble.

I like his style, I hope he doesn’t lose his job. But it’s just not happening for him.

Bolton are now being threatened with expulsion from the League, wouldn't it be awful for that lot down the road to lose 3 points and a 5 goal cushion.

On a serious note, nobody wants to see a club the size and stature of Bolton to go to the wall!

His last ever game for Manchester City was away at Southend -
City sold old Roots Hall with fans wanting to say goodbye to him, as I recall.

Edit - I got that wrong (though half right?) He joined Southend after leaving Manchester and:-
    from Wiki:-
"His final appearance before retirement was on 6 May 2006, when Southend played Bristol City, one of Goater's former clubs. The crowd included an estimated 400 Manchester City fans who travelled to Southend to mark the occasion." <ok>

21% possession, they sound exactly the sort of horror to watch that their fans will dread. Ashley may as well have hired Hootun as he would've at least come in with fan support.

    Bah!

Farke reiterated again, after enduring a first Carrow Road home league defeat of the year, he does not have the players to shut up shop.

Even if he did, he would go down in many fans eye's if he played that way, not that I think he would take this approach even if he did have the players. As a club we've always seemed to have done better when we 'never mind the danger'. Win or lose Farke will retained the support of most fans if he keeps the team playing the way we are. I like most would accept going down playing Farke ball. I don't think it's in his DNA to shut up shop and it's certainly not in the clubs, the chorus of OTBC could have been written to describe the way we are playing.

Exactly canario and the players have been recruited/promoted from witihin to play 'Farkeball'.

I seem to remember that PL's motto was - we don't care if you score 3, we'll score 4!!'. It was never going to work against Chelski, but the fans are so behind the team that I can see us picking up points over the next run of games with the exception of Citeh!!!

So sad when it comes down to this :emoticon-0106-cryin

Statement on behalf of Paul Appleton, Joint Administrator For Bolton Wanderers

At 5pm on Friday August 23, the completion of the sale of the football club and the hotel had been agreed by all parties and undertakings had been issued by all solicitors except those of Ken Anderson.

Devastatingly, on Saturday morning that deal collapsed. At this stage, there seems little point in apportioning blame because that makes no difference to the staff, players, management, supporters and the community who have once more seen their club taken back to the brink.
My team have spent the last 48 hours working around the clock, striving to get a deal back on track and trying to convince the parties still in conflict that the very fate of Bolton Wanderers depends on them finding a compromise.
The EFL have made their position clear by insisting on a 5pm deadline on Tuesday for a deal to be completed or give compelling reasons for an extension. They have also written to everybody concerned in the process to underline that sense of urgency.
On Sunday evening, there was some tentative dialogue but we are still some way from reaching a solution. Therefore, I am appealing to those parties whose position seems intractable to do everything to reach a compromise.

In just over 24 hours, the club will have its membership of the EFL revoked. Over and above that, the club is currently not in a position to carry on trading and, as such, the process of closing down the company will commence on Wednesday.
This will ultimately lead to its liquidation, the expulsion of the club from the EFL and the inevitable loss of over 150 jobs. More than that, it will devastate a community for whom the football club is a beacon of hope and expectation.
I reiterate, unless there is a change of position from any of the parties involved, the process of closing down the club and ultimately placing Bolton Wanderers into liquidation will begin this week.
