Off to Venice and surrounds next week Sunday with the brood for a week. Any pointers much welcome, not been before.

Went for a week a few years ago and could have spent double the time there. All recommendations suggested previously are great. Would definitely pop over to Murano to see the glass making. Only downside of going to Venice at this time of the year is the tourist crowds - we went in May.

Trying to engineer a trip back to the Cote D'Azur for the month of September. Love it there . Beaulieu-sur-Mer specifically, just East of Nice, nudged into the base of Cap-Ferrat ("Exile on Main St" fame)...

We did the US in January as that’s our summer. We went to Washington DC where everything was closed due to some prick in charge deciding he didn’t want to pay money.

Then we headed down to Florida so we could have as much money removed from our bank accounts as possible(not that there was that much to start off with)

Sound lovely

We went to Washington DC about a million years ago (pre the 9/11 attacks) and it was great then but you could get in everywhere, including the White House, as security was much less than I assume it is now (and they paid people then so buildings were actually open as well)
