I do find it tragic that there is all this complaining that VAR is ruining football.

Football has being ruining itself for years.

People celebrate City yet any mention of them spending over £700m in just 3 years results in cries of "bitter jealousy" or "but they play great football."

£700m plus...in 3 years...they already had the most expensive squad in British football history...has ruined football.

Not content with that they hsve broken FFP and were fined £49m but only hsd to psy £17m.

They then got caught breaking rules on signing under 18s...their punishment?
A fine of £310,000...what Stirling earns in a week.

(Chelsea got a transfer ban for similar.)
They are currently being investigated for again breaking FFP rules.

Things were not particularly good before city won the lottery but have rapidly gone down hill.

Instead of ****ing around with changing handball rules and VAR footbsll authorities need to make the game less like monopoly.

Rant over...off out for my daily 15,000 step challenge.

Oh...nearly forgot ...
come on Leicester <cheers>

Now admittedly I have only seen the highlights and been reading the match reports ... but the apparent gulf between City and Spurs yesterday has to set alarm bells ringing for the rest of the league ... City had 30 goal attempts to 3 for Spurs and one of those was a Harry Kane hope and glory from extreme distance ...

Fair play to Spurs for grabbing a share of the spoils and putting both chances away ... but it is difficult to see them as genuine title contenders to City based on that display ...

It isn’t always the best team that wins the league, as Leicester proved, Bambs.

Sorry mate, I've forgotten, can you just remind us all how much your team spent on a new football stadium? <whistle>

On the contrary Quents ... it isn't always the best team that wins a game ... to win the league though... it is. <cheers>

Come off it, Bambs! Save that **** for the deluded on your board.

Your chip n run footy took everyone by surprise. None of us superior clubs expected that old fossil of a manager of yours to keep employing the same flakey tactics as you did.

Of course, since then, everyone has cottoned on to the fact that that is the only tactic you know, so that even the likes of Wolves have quickly manoeuvred to neutralise it.

I think brb's point is that everyone slates City but most PL clubs are part of the problem.

We're paying a 3rd choice keeper 80 bags a week ffs!
Most Premier League clubs try to spend within their means, though. City don't remotely do that and cheat to spend even more.
It's a facile comparison.
