Loved Nevilles comment that VAR was the Spuds best player.Spud fans singing 'VAR my lord, VAR' To the tune of Kumbaya my Lord
They love it the ****s.

I'm pointing it out as a var failure more than anything else mate tbh.
Indeed. I don’t like the new handball rule but at least it makes it easy to apply. These full kit ****ers in an office in Uxbridge won’t use a bit of common sense and give a clear penalty though because they can’t find rule 112.6 in time.
Var is ****ing awful and yesterday City were arguably cost points by a poor decision which var was supposed to eliminate.
My big issue with the handball situation is the fact that it only works one way. If they wanna say any contact is handball then fine but apply it across the board ffs.
To have two players playing by different rules when they're stood right next to each other is ****ing mental.
Don’t agree about the one from yesterday mate. Having seen it, that wasn’t VAR’s fault, that was the new handball rule. The ball hit Laportes arm and deflected it to Jesus, under the new rules that’s handball and therefore no goal. The fact that the ref missed it and the players didn’t appeal doesn’t alter that fact, and VAR has in fact corrected a clear and obvious error. If there’s blame there it’s the new rule not VAR.
I was referring to the blatant penalty not given mate.
That’s where they haven’t got it right yet, I gave an example of what happened in our game yesterday. It only seems to work when the ball has gone dead, if the ball stays in, then incidents aren’t being reviewed or are just being ignored.
If only people had pointed out that that might be a big problem beforehand eh?
The point is that City were arguably cost points by a poor decision of which var was supposed to eliminate. Think it was reviewed as well.
It would help if refs (and VAR bods) explained their decisions after the game. There might be a great reason for it not being given as a pen. Probably not.

Yeah I think if they're going to use technology then they should be forced to explain these things after the game.
It’ll settle down over the course of an entire season mate. The officials will eventually get it right imo. What we as match goers need to accept, is that the price for correct decisions and removing howlers, is the delay after a goal.
I like how you can hear the third umpire in cricket running through the different angles and saying what he sees.
That penalty claim was not given because there were fouls by both players but the first one was by a the City player. VAR was correct no matter what the Sky and BBC pundits claimIf only people had pointed out that that might be a big problem beforehand eh?
