Legendary racing pundit John McCririck, who for many years was the face of British horse racing, has died at a London hospital today aged 79.
Controversal figure.
RIP John

What a player and what a man he was as well.
Just after we played Spurs at Wembley in the League Cup final, he came to ours for tea. My dad had arranged for him to come and give some prizes out, and he stayed for tea. My mum had done all this 'posh' buffet, and when asked what he would like to eat, Big Dunc just said, "Can I have some fish and chips from across the road please, and out of the paper and on my knee". He had time for all of us kids that afternoon. Think he stayed after the prize giving for about an hour, just chatting and signing autographs for us young ones.
RIP big Dunc.

Remember him playing alongside Dave Stringer when I used to stand on the River End in the rain. He played once with a collapsed lung I remember and still gave it his all, what a giant and a true NCFC legend.
