United supporters are supposed to care about FCUoM but I personally don't give a ****.

One or two mates got right into it but then I don't live up there anymore so get my fill of 'proper' football from Swansea City.

Then they also got into the uber mega fab, you can't believe what you're seeing, premier league land and ruined it.

Not really arsed about Salford either!

Technically it's Chester FC, Chester City no longer exist.

But yeah most likely, though I'd hope they could get back to the FL with the phoenix club.

Ah right, just assumed it was the original Chester tbh.

I think the others are the originals though?

I believe both Hereford and Darlington are 'reborn' clubs.

Only know Chester cos I was reading about it relatively recently.

Hereford had held an amazing record of being elected from the Southern League to Football league status in 1972, and were in what is today known as the Championship by 1976 (old division two).

All after this giant FA Cup killing back where it all began in 72...

City fined 315k for breaching transfer rules around signing minors.

Pocket change for them. They should make fines relative to the income of the club. Hit them with a £25m fine, that will make sure it stings

Apparently Rickie George was on the piss the night before, because he knew he was on the bench and didn't expect to get on the pitch.

The other great cup game was Wimbledon v Leeds and Dickie Guy saving a Peter Lorimer penalty.

And let us not forget Dave Beasant's sa e from John Aldridge at Wembley a decade later. Though Wimbledon were in the first division by then.

I feel very privileged to have been at Wimbledon's old Plough Lane and watched them win the league. I always love it when they come to Priestfield too, generally bring a decent amount of support. Don't like there current gound location though, it's a balls ache.

Hopes; https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...towards-new-plough-lane-stadium-a4165586.html

Decent game this tbf. I wonder how far up the pyramid Salford can go?

Depends how quick they can grow. Their ground would be there current financial set back, I think it only holds 5k, so they would have to rebuild or move. In comparison my lot can old 10.5k and we are a league above. I think there player market value is £1M less. However, Salford have a bigger influence ie Alex Ferguson and Denis Law at the game tonight, so potential for financial backers is far greater. Not forgetting the rest of the gang!

Salford Rugby team have a new 12k stadium. Right **** location though! Middle of no where. Quite a nice ground though so that could be an option

Ground share? That would certainly be a good financial option. 12k would be suffice for L1 - and start bringing in the right revenue to grow.
