Footy is popular in the UK and there's bags of money to be made, take the current big clubs out and you'd end up with some other teams being bankrolled and replacing them.

So how many British millionaires own one of top 30 or clubs in England (and Wales)?

For a lot of the foreign owners it's the status part of it that's appealing to them, and all of that would move to the Super league. There's very little money made by the majority of these owners.

Like I said I agree that a new top 4/6 would eventually but the gap between say a West Ham and Saints just simply would never reach the size of the gap between Man United and Brighton.

If the league became popular and the revenue was there it would grow. I could be wrong, no expert on these matters.

I don't see why it would gain the same level of popularity though.

Are those in Asia really gonna watch ( or even be interested in) Saints v Norwich over City vs Bayern for example?

Now now luvvy none of us are experts but when has stopped us before

Don't know why I'm bothering but it wasn't a great performance from either team, the first half was poor and both teams were making mistakes. Once you had a goal it meant Chelsea had to push up and it played to your strengths. Wan Bassaka was very good, Maguire did his job.

Thin margins and all that. Either of those Chelsea shots that hit the post go in and it’s a very different game. United were poor until Zouma’s mentally unstable challenge.

Thought Maguire did his job well. Heads it and kicks it which is a major upgrade. Thought the MOTM award was Sky wanting to interview him after.

Don’t encourage him.
