Yeah I can see why you would think that but as a fan of a smaller club i think it would be great for domestic footy.

Not sure it would. I think in time it’d create a vicious cycle in that if the ESL happened, a domestic side will end up being the new Man City/ Man Utd in the Prem, and then 5-10 years later will be expecting entry into the ESL and then the process will just repeat.

The loss is the heaviest suffered by a new Blues manager in Chelsea’s Premier League history. - Metro
They've had 20/21 and I'm only counting Mourinho once.
Graham "If you tolerate" Rix and Ray Wilkins were joint caretakers, then Wilkins did it himself later.
Yep, they rehired Rix and then made him manager after he served a prison sentence and was put on a register for child sex offences. Classy. <ok>

Much less money plus less hype plus less plastics would make it a much better experience for me personally.

I agree that you'd end up with a 'new' top 4 though, say Villa, Everton, Newcastle and West Ham.

We got the Champions League for the continental flava...don't want/need a ES League... couldn't think of anything worse.

I can see your trauma bruv...if Spurs were in a European Super League, it probably would be embarrassing propping the rest up <whistle>

Why? It would be **** and I don't think that the clubs that weren't in it would benefit, either financially or otherwise.

Oh sorry if you think the general standard of the league is of huge concern to me. It's really not.

It'd be nice if promoted clubs could challenge without risking the future of the club too.

My only rule would be if you leave our domestic league then you can't compete in the FA Cup either.

Challenge for what? The title?
Wolves came up and were competitive, though I'd question a lot of their methods.
Leicester got promoted, stayed up and then won the league.

And haven't finished in the top 6 since, despite spending a fair whack.

Agree regarding Wolves but they'd be in trouble if the owner lost interest or they got relegated.

Well by the time Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus have finished with yer, you'd probably wish you was just above Bury.
We just beat Juventus, beat Madrid in the group at Wembley and drew at their place and got a draw at the Nou Camp.
They're no Burton Albion, but still...
