Agreed. I was just think he'd be more ready for our team this season than it appears he is, given the way the Villa fans were raving about it him. A few reasons for this perhaps:
1) Villa's left hand side is a lot worse than ours meaning there's no need to target the right hand side as much as they might ours (everyone knows BAE invincible right?)
2) Their right mid offers more protection than ours (probably true if VDV's there but doubt it if Lennon is).
3) (and the most likely imo) They have few attacking options in their team meaning Walker was at the heart of a lot their attacks resulting in them overlooking his defensive liablities.
If we could mix Charlie and Walker into one player we'd probably have the best right back in the world. Walker's still young though so there's plenty he can learn off him.
Well I'm sorry, but this Greek team are rubbish, and if the likes of Pav and Gio can't 'stand out' against poor opposition like that, its quite obvious to me why Harry won't use them unless forced to in the PL. Absolute crap the pair of them.
So, so proud of the team. A great European night with the home crowd putting to shame the usual sanitised Prem crowds, how I wish we could have a part of the ground to match their ultras.
How some Spurs fans disrespect this competition is beyond me, giving it brain-dead insulting names like the 'Ropey League', shame on them.
I've already seen two superb Spurs performances this season at Hearts and now in Greece, given the circumstances.
I would rather win the EL than either of our domestic cups, indeed I'd rather win that and finish fifth, then finish fourth and win nowt.
So, so happy now. And a special well done to Livermore, a player I've liked for years now.

Finally thanks to ESPN for briniging this game, I remember in the 60, 70s and 80s we didn't get to watch such great European nights as these, unless we were there, so proud and privileged to have been able to watch our team get such a valuable point. COYS.

Neither of them has any match fitness Notso and the system was a bit strange, to say the least.

Overall the younger players did quite well, and I have to agree that Pav and dos Santos did not--especially Pav. That shot from "about 800 yards" was nightmarish.
I'd agree with that to a certain extent. Don't think you can have too much a go at Pav though. He had very little service and due to his nature is not always the sort to go looking for it. I doubt Defoe would have done much better tbh. Great effort on the free kick though. Gio was very poor though but as PNP says he's barely had a kick recently and may be too eager to try prove himself rather than play his natural game. Must say Bassong did concern a fair bit but I guess you can't be overly critical given the back line we had out there.
We won't need to break a sweat to get out this group though.
Sorry PNP, we've been making excuses for these two for too long. Just how many chances do they need? They're Internationals as you say, and if thats how they play against kebab shop workers to impress the manager...well! 
To be honest Freund I missed that game (stuck in bloody scotland with no internet connection!). I still think there's times when he'll get targeted though and would much rather Charlie up against a very good left winger than him for the time being.
A bit over the top perhaps Ghoddle, I'd hardly call that a "great" European night given some of the games we played in Europe last year.

I was at the Lane last season for most of the cL games, and not once did our crowd match that Greek crowd this evening. In fact against Young Boys and Twente, we were poor to be honest, for the most part. Indeed was the atmosphere any better in the San Siro, not from what I recall.

I'd still have to disagree about Pav, reading what you've said about service, does that mean we can only play him if others can deliver stuff to him on a plate? A top striker should do anything to try and score. The free kick? not the one he blazed straight out for a goal kick? he didn't even attempt to curl it round the wall.
Don't get me wrong, the lads did well, but the senior players who should have carried them along were a real let down...again.
I agree we won't have any bother progressing, I think Kazan will pose a more serious problem though.

For me a "great" European night would generally have a bit of glory/glamour to it.
While the young kids did well tonight, and they should be credited, I don't think there's much glory in getting a 0-0 draw, unless it was our kids shutting out a full strength Barca team (or similarly glamorous club).
If we win at home against PAOK and win both of our games against Shamrock Rovers, then the games against Rubin Kazan shouldn't be an issue.
It'd be nice to have a stronger team available for some of those games, though.

To me there was great glory tonight in getting such a result against the odds.
I was sooooooooo proud of players like Livermore, Carrol, Townsend and the older ones like Cudicini.
I'm just as up about this result as I was when we got results at places like Werder last season.
