Merrysuperstevie and Stretty need to stop throwing paddy's.
How arrogant is it to call Sporting Lisbon our feeder club?.
If Quieroz reccomended and over-saw the signing of Ronaldo then he did FAR more than Arsene Wenger did, a man with a mythical reputation of seeing talent. £12m for Ronaldo or £15m for Reyes? not a difficult decision is it.
Bebe, well who know's. SAF trusts his scout's and as well he should, they brought in Vidic and Evra for a grand total of £12m.
What's the worst case scenario? That Bebe goes out on loan to Wigan or someone in a year or two, do you not think we will recoup £4m?
We need to buy x amount of players to either keep or then sell, flops are a necassary evil.

You're the kind of fan's that have been slagging Rooney off for the past few months, and Berbatov for 2 season's before that.

So far i've heard 3 names mentioned. Modric, who'd cost a fortune. Ozil, who we spoke to and he obviously wasn't interested or wanted to much money.
How many player's have you scouted over the years? 0. Its very easy to criticize someone when you've NEVER done their job.
Maybe it's the fault of the championship manager generation, people think they can ACTUALLY do what a computer says it can.

And do you think you're telling anyone something they don't know that our midfield isn't fantastic (It certainly isn't crap).
What have Essien/Mikel/Lampard acheived?
Barry/Milner/Vierra?
Fabregas and Song? Seriously you think this is a better midfield than ours? Fabregas yes.
VDV/Modric is the best Midfield in the league so far. VDV would have cost us a fortune.

All this is a sore loser attitude. Team's ARE allowed to use tactic's asgainst us away from home, on a pitch we aren't used to in front of their home crowd. Should we be expected to play free-flowing football even if it was on your local field?.
It takes away the great achievement Wolves deserved.

I'll take 1 loss in every 25 thankyou very much. I'd also like to add that we've missed imo last season's best signing, our level best player last season and without doubt the best crosser of the ball in the premiership. Valencia and Rooney are a frightening combination.

Fickle isn't the word for "supporters" like yourselves. In fact i'm ashamed to call myself a supporter alongside yourselves.

They were our feeder club!!!!! We had an agreement. Not arrogant, just right! Our midfield is crap. It really is. Now stop pointing out trophies won (trophies are won by teams and squads, not individual positions) as it isn't relevant to a weak area in the team. The midfield is crap. You name world class, unobtainable players but our midfield is so godawful that we don't require world class players there. Competent players would improve that area. You can't be happy with what you're seeing from them and we should have bought.

But YOU'VE yet to name who we should have bought. If you're talking a group of player's for the squad then you must mean at least 2. Who would you keep/sell....?
Its ok complaining but in 147 post's you've not actually detailed what YOU'D do.
 
If Chelsea win today they have won the title. This game is very important and they must draw or lose for Utd or Arsenal to have a chance this season. But our title hopes look bleak if I am honest
 
all il say is that although these forums cater for the opinions of every fan, it saddens me that united fans are so hyper-critical. i agree that our away form has been disappointing and yesterdays result and performance was extremely so. but i still think we will get three points next weekend against city, i also believe we will beat arsenal away. the chelsea games i fancy will end up 3 points each, both home victories and a draw with liverpool would be a good result. the other teams around us will continue to drop points, as will united, but i still think we will win the league, with chelsea 2nd, arsenal 3rd, spurs 4th and city 5th.

You mean players like Veron, Kleberson, Cruyff and Blomqvist? All competent international players who were all expected to improve our midfield and all failed. Look at Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Scholes and Gerrard. All world class, and all the type of midfielders we are missing, and all have played for the same club since age 18, learning the system and fitting in before they were recognised as world class. Central midfield is the one area of the park where you can't just buy a good player and expect them to fit in. Buying a new CM is always a gamble, and we can't afford to gamble at this stage of the season when we're doing ok with our existing midfield. VdV, Ozil, all the players you'd like us to have bought could all have turned out like Veron if we'd taken the punt.

It's not my job to sign players, is it? It's the manager's job to ensure that we are as strong as possible in all positions but we are crap in midfield. You haven't told me if you think our midfield is good enough. Do you? Really? We could sign Lee Bowyer and Tiote (one a thug and the other average) and that would improve us. I could name countless others, such is the current demise of our midfield.

It would have been a worthwhile punt, as the midfield is a hindrence, not a help. We shouldn't have needed to gamble at this stage of the season. The problem should have been addressed last summer.

I've already said its not fantastic, but its not crap. You can't honestly say anyone else's midfield is better.
People like you slated Fletcher for years, saying he should have been sold then did a U-turn.

Its very very easy to say "Its not my job" but all this says is that you are clueless.
Bowyer? Piss off.
Tiote? Right so we should sell player's like Gibson who hasn't hit his career form, or sell player's like Carrick who has good games and average games or instead buy another player that is as you describe average.
Adam would have cost us £15m, fifteen ****ing million!.

The best call would be Modric who we'd be looking at probably £30-£40m or Kranjkar on loan, who wants to leave a lesser team for not playing often.
 
Maybe we can move Park centrally because we are in a desperate scenario, Okay guys I have relaxed and cooled down now after going mad about our 7 point slip. Okay we are 4 points ahead which is nothing really but we have a chance. Unbeaten record is gone now. Our response next week is very important, and some players really need to wake up. Anderson must start now and Evans can not play. I am stuck to the reason why Brown does not start at center back? Park and Valencia returns could really spark us back into life but Merry I agree the midfield is very weak but we can't change that until the summer. The window is gone now so we must face that. Even with this weak midfield our players still don't seem up to it. It was a disgrace yesterday and you could tell the players thought that because they were unbeaten suddenly it meant that they had the divine right to score. Now that is gone the manager can tell them to wake up and start trying for the team. Last season when Gibson Carrick and Fletcher started in the midfield against Bayern you could see the energy and passion but now I just don't see it. These players need to wake up or the season will fall apart. Next week is key.
