My point was that it would be better to achieve that with one of our own players, developed and improved by Bielsa, than by developing and improving an Arsenal player we've no chance of signing permanently.

Your question was "what’s the point of Bielsa improving him even more just to hand him back to Arsenal?"

I just answered your question. <wah>

Of course it would be better to do it with our own players but the loan players are usually not affordable and/or available to buy, hence the loan.

I can’t do pasting of Twitter a la Ell but Reading (yes Reading!!!!) have signed Inter Milan striker George Puscas on a five year deal, we are trying to sign their young prospect reserve striker?
According to Wiki they just signed him themselves, played a couple of friendlies, and they've got rid again, without playing a first team game.not sure that makes him a better player than the one we are after.

Exactly my point. You suggested that the player we are after is from a better quality of club, and you now seem to be dissing the guy reading have bought as poor but he was still ahead of the player we’re buying?? Are both clubs buying from better standard football or not?

I'd like to get all the lads we're linked to, loan or with a buy option. But yes I'd rather sign than loan because sometimes a loanees heart mighten be into it when the team is doing badly. Look at Izzy, he was a waste of time and money.<ok>
On the other hand, if we had signed Issy to a 4 year deal and the manager had not wanted to play him, would that have been better.

One is 19 with potential, the other is 23 and looks to be failing. Comes down to who the manager thinks is best, I will go with Bielsa's choice. As the 23 year old hasn't played any first team matches this season, before being sold, not sure he's ahead, unless being 4 years older makes him better.

Sorry, edited my post as looking back it made no sense. Though is this like the gospel, mention Bielsa and it ends all debate?

Well let’s just shut down this forum <ok>
Well I'd rather not, you're entitled to think which ever you like is the best of the 2, but just saying I've not seen anything to convince me your right. It's a bit like our Jap guy, brought in never played, does that make him better than all the under 23's, I would say no.
Or another example Nessy has played more games and is older than our new loan player White. Does that mean he's better, from what I've seen no.

To reiterate. I have no idea who is the better of the two. I’m not aware we were ever in for both. I hope if we get him he turns out to be a massive success. I think we have the coach that is most likely to make that happen. It’s not nailed on however and I think it’s ridiculous to shut debate off by using if Bielsa wants him why discuss, because if so, what’s the point of being on here?

I'm not saying why discuss, you made out Reading were buying Inters first team striker, but when the facts were looked at, that's not exactly true, and nothing to say he's better than the player we want.
Looked at your post, but you didn't convince me, that's all I said.

Just asking as you seemed to know about the player reading have just signed. Like I said I know **** all about either of them.

The guy Reading have signed sounds like the type of player you’ve ‘had your fill of us signing’ and cost them a staggeringly overpriced €8M

Not much in the way of first team stats for Colido as he’s only 19 but is the type of player Bielsa would improve massively.

He's also an Argentinian youth player who I would expect the Argentine Bielsa would be an expert on. People said wtf are we doing replacing Pontus with a league 1 standard loan player, Bielsa had watched every game White had played for 2 years and knew better than 40,000 Leeds fans.

Yes Jonny I get why the need to get these players in on loan  but it would be better if the loan arrangement had an option to buy at the end of the season.

Seriously, I’m not saying I’m right, in fact I’m certain both you and chesh get it right far more than me and not saying I want (or even heard of the player they signed). All I’m asking is we don’t say ‘if Bielsa wants him.......’ it makes anyone’s opinion invalid
