There's no way they are getting £142m. If he's going for £110m, then yes possibly the £27m could become part of an upfront payment I suppose. It's a ****ing lot of beans though whatever way you look at it.

Not really. Barca paid £105 plus add ons that could have made the total £142m. Given he’s hardly been a hit I doubt he’s triggered many of them. He signed a 5 1/2 year deal in Jan 18, so his annual write down will be circa £20m. So next summer he’ll stand Barca at about £60m on their balance sheet (which is likely what they’ll still owe Liverpool) so the figures aren’t completely mental in the current market.
I doubt it he'll be available for £60m. As you say in the current market even if his deprecation meant he was around the £60m figure you can add 20% onto that straight off the bat because of the current conditions.
