Pep Guardiola reckons United signing Harry Maguire elevates them to contenders ... but what the **** does he know about football?
He was interviewed ... direct quotes .... admitted he wanted Maguire at Ciity but City were unable to match United's bid ...
You have some strange fantasies, Spurmilocks ... allude to a Pep interview and you and Tiny Tears start shaking like jellies... get a grip lad ... you'll still finish in 'nearly' ... as for Gimli's lot ... I suspect Pool will again come up just a little bit short
Yes. My point was he may not have been entirely truthful and perhaps had an ulterior motive for his comments.
... or he might just have been saying it as he sees it ... wouldn't that be awful ... PS they matched United's first bid ... so which seems the more likely?
Man united need a result vs chelsea... the fans are really unhappy , so if they start badly i feel for oli... tbh i think greenwood and the new lad from swansea are exactly what they need and think theyll do very well this season.
What seems more likely out of Pep playing mind games and City being skint? Sorry mate but I'd have to say the former.
They bid £70 m ... we said not enough ... United did too ...we said not enough ... but went higher... but I wouldn't expect you to believe a Leicester fan who called it exactly from start to finish ... the likes of Tom Thumb and the groovy gang are much better informed
Pep quite clearly fancied Maguire as Kompany's replacement, they just wouldn't pay the price. Which is fair enough. That doesn't mean City didn't want him and that Pep doesn't rate him though. Pep will have to reply on Laporte, Otamendi and Stones now, and he doesn't rate two of those as he's been trying to replace them ever since he signed them, so maybe they will have an issue at centre half? I doubt anyone is claiming they're skint?
Mate I'm not interested in another drawn out argument when we've done this to death tbh. Just saying that because he said doesn't make it true. You said Virgil had only ever finished bottom half at Saints, didn't make it true
