If you concede two goals or more every game you're going to lose more than you win.

This was the story at the end of last season.

It's been the story of pre-season (not a good indicator I know).

And wouldn't you know it, it's happened today.

We're going nowhere until we stem this particular tide.

.
We’re going nowhere until those running this club are hounded OUT.

Different season....Same old s**t.
It would appear that an inability to put teams to the sword when on top, a lack of concentration and inability to defend will see us have a struggle rather than a decent season....
Still there might be three worse teams than us...

PS...Someone please tell those guys on Blunderside that a football game lasts 90 mins and the result is not determined at half-time especially were Hull City are concerned. If 'Brain of Britain' Peter Swann thinks Swansea will be relegated, where does that put us?

Just listened to GMc and seems he is keen to have everyone in the team do their defensive duties as well as going forward. Sounds like he wants 4-3-3 in possession but 4-5-1 out of it ... mentioned he is hopeful of bringing more in but obvs wouldnt illude to who or what position. Hasn't heard anything with regards offers for our own players.
I realise that good interviews don't win football games but did think he talked a lot of sense. I think Mr. McCann will do ok but guess we'll have a better idea by about October.

De Wijs came off as he’d had a sickness bug and had been throwing up all night. You have to question McCann playing him if he’s known about this all along. Never start a player that isn’t 100%. He should have started with Tafazolli.

Reminds me of Adkins starting MacDonald then taking him off really early and bollocking him
only to say later he knew he wasn't right before the game

I didn't have us down for winning this one today, as you boys have had the upper hand recently, and especially since we lost James to Manure, and McBurnie to Sheff, so very pleased for our long lost Striker Baston, who we signed when in the PL, but never really got a chance to click, and was quickly farmed back out to Spain, where he struggled for two seasons.

I cannot deny that I'm well chuffed we got this one in the bag, not just because you seem to be our boggy team, but also because I want to see Baston come good, he's still young at 26, and should be able to repair his failing career, anyway all the best for the rest of the season, except when we come visiting!!.........<laugh>

Very reminiscent of early last season. Played great for large parts of the game, a goal saw confidence collapse and it took 20 minutes to come back.

By then it was too late.

Was Kingsley as bad as the commentary suggested? Everything in the second half seemed to come down his side, almost like we didn’t have a left back on the pitch.

Partly yes, but partly down to Grosicki not helping him out enough nor effectively.
Their wide man (Dyer) had acres of space time & again. But it wasn't just the space, it was like we seemed asleep numerous times on left side of our defence.
Unless Grosicki changes his game, left side of defence is likely to be a big ongoing problem given GMcC's formation and style of play. 4-3-3 has to turn into 4-5-1 when we don't have the ball. I like Grosicki, but I don't think he can fit into that system.
