Only a tritter rumour but...

So, Toby allegedly turned down £130k p/w from us, to accept €70k p/w from Roma? Even with the new Italian income tax laws, he'd be worse off by £1m a year.

I can't see this coming off but then again, Toby took dreadful advice in turning down our offer. Maguire's costing United £80m and only pulling in £150k, £20k p/w more than we offered Toby 2 years ago.

There’s still time, but it’s certainly running out. We don’t really know how far along the journey the “ins” and “outs” are, but they’re gonna need to be somewhat advanced, otherwise I just can’t see how the potential volume of deals required can get over the line in time.
There’s definitely going to be a domino effect between players and clubs, but it also feels like we’ve got our very own complicated scenario to contend with once this overall domino effect kicks into gear.
Fernandes in? Lo Celso in? Sessegnon in?
Eriksen out? Toby out? Rose out? Potentially a lot of high profile complicated business there. Do we have the time to pull off the necessary?
I can’t help but feel it may be underwhelming come deadline day. Maybe 1 in, but someone like Eriksen leaving that prevents us becoming stronger over all.

Our complicted scenario is due to hardball tactics by Levy. Weve had all Summer. I can kind of understand the complex nature surrounding some purchases. However, i think(feel as though) this is us suffering from Levy's mindset.

Example Sessegnon...i cant think of one factor that realistically should be causing a delay. He virtually lives up the road, no one else in for him...weve been after him for over donkies and we are not talking a massive fee considering we are a top 4 team and CL finalists. Yet here we are still speculating. We shouldnt have to rely on selling Rose first...hes not worth much anyway...but Levy wants Sess for 5 mill with 20 being funded by Rose at the risk of pissing off Poch and at the risk of sending us into the new season not as well prepared as we could be.

Levy' arse should be on fire trying to get the deals done in order to appease one of the best young manager's in the world whos current crop are recent CL finalists and who will once again deliver CL footy(top 4) for ENIC and Levy to benefit from but here we are procrastinating as per

I've noticed a bit of debate going around the Reddit crowd between Lo Celso and Fernandes, with a lot of the debate coming down to Fernandes' abysmal passing stats in the final third - which can best be summed up as him dribbling past two or three players, but then he goes for the most difficult passing option he can find which on occasion leads to a beautiful cross-field ball to set up a goal...but the other eight times out of ten the opposition defenders wonder why he was so generous, sort of like how Andros Townsend would break into the box from out wide to give the opposition a goal kick

What this boils down to is that, between the two, Fernandes has the more impressive ratio for goals and assists compared to Lo Celso, but is far less of a team player than Lo Celso - and, given Poch's preference of building a cohesive unit instead of having nine men plus one matchwinner, surely this makes Lo Celso the more viable target...right?

Sessegnon Watch
Dan Kilpatrick reports that we'll secure his signing this coming week. Sort of like was reported for the last three weeks...

I understand the possible Sessegnon deal running to the wire. The nearer it gets to the window closing, the more Fulham have to contemplate getting compensation determined by a tribunal...just as we'd have to accept CE leaving for nothing. The nearer we get to Thursday 5 pm, the more likely there's a possible bargain.

As for Lo Celso, I don't see that leaving a deal this late helps us at all. If we want the player, we're running out of time, whereas Betis can sell him in Spain...or Germany...or Italy....or....The later we leave it, the worse our bargaining position. Complete madness.

Given Lo Celso was the player MP really wants, Betis are willing to sell and the player the wants to come, ****ing this up would be really painful.

Sessegnon is recovering from an injury... maybe that is an issue that is causing a delay.

Yeah definitely this.

He only just returned to training last week, I don’t blame Levy for choosing to save roughly £200k (£50k a week for a month?) worth of wages where Sess couldn’t have even gotten used to our system.

I’m ‘disappointed’ we haven’t sorted GLC yet but when looking around at the market, everyone has been struggling to sign top players so I know it’s not only us facing this problem. I’m still certain we’ll have him by deadline day.

Ultimately we sorted our most important signing early on. Now it’s about ensuring we strengthen to help us throughout the season.

Given the German interest in young English players, they'd have to consider losing him for nothing.

Brighton, Villa and Sheffield Utd are all being linked with Brenford's Neal Maupay.
22 years old, striker, French of Argentinian descent, scored 28 goals last season and can play wide or deep.
Maybe it's one that we should be looking at as back-up and depth, though he does seem like a bit of a tap-in merchant from highlights.

Supposedly, he wants to stay in London but there will be foreign clubs crawling all over him in January. I don't think that we can feel comfortable with him signing for us as a free agent next summer.

As with our attempt to sign Moussa Dembele II from Fulham in 2016, delay means failure. Tell 'em Elvis...

Thanks, Elvis.

The Sun are claiming Vic “is set” for Bournemouth, they’re saying £11.5m which is £500k more than what we paid for him IIRC.

Terrible shame regarding his injuries, we could’ve gotten at least £50m for him had he remained fit. Hope if he does make the move it all works out for him.

If he suddenly goes back to 2016-17 fitness there, there will be blood ...

If Wanyama is sold to Bournemouth then the net spend is only around £15million

No excuse to not get Lo Celso or Fernandes
