Not at 40 grand a week. If we're going down that road of expediture, then we need someone who can pass a ball not just take it off the opposition. Really like the bloke for what he is and I'd take him on, but we have the need for a different type of midfielder.
But on loan on a 50/50 salary basis with Bournemouth? I think you underestimate his passing ability. We only saw him in the Prem in a struggling side. He would be a lot more effective with us this season. All conjecture as moneybags Fulham won't baulk at paying his full wages. Bournemouth may well release him a free to get the wages off the books.
I'd take that - as long as it didn't tie up too much commited cash to prevent us getting a playmaker. I think Tomlin could be on his way out. Manga was second highest earner last season on £28K a week. He's gone now to be replaced by Flint who I doubt is on anything like that. There must be some latitude especially if we can get rid of Tomlin's £19K a week to bring in some quality - unfortunately, the clock is ticking.
