So a Female ref is to take charge of the Super Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool. Let me start by saying I have no problem what gender the ref is but it got me thinking that if and when ( I'd say its more a case of when) we get a female ref in the Premier League what do we call her when things do go our way. Would "The referees a w*nker" still be appropriate? Would "You don't know what you're doing" appear sexist or is it just a case of its part of the game nothing will change? Any thoughts?

It would be discriminatory not to treat her exactly the same as any match official who happens to be male.

Also just to reassure you women "****" as much as men and some women even have excellent contraptions to help them.

So you go ahead for you have carte blanche to be as abusive as you like

I suppose doing threads like these on a Friday afternoon people will think you've got a touch of the shuttles.

Women are entitled to masturbate too, so I don’t see the reason to change anything.

It might be a little more exciting to shout that this time though....

Actually, I think Jonny has a good thing going there. There are many things about Friday as being the best day of the week, and Friday gets a lot of attention. Not from here though, except from Jonny. So I propose a regular Left-Field Friday thread that runs until the next one. The ideas for discussion would hopefully be football or sport related, but they could fringe into the business or media stuff too. And even Jonny could end up posting a thread that doesn't get closed. First come, first served, I would suggest. Subsequent threads on the same day being either closed [re-opened if really good] or merged with the original.

How about that? Crap? OK? Great?

Do they???

Contraption (noun) - A machine or device that appears strange or unnecessarily complicated, and often badly made or unsafe

Do you have any pictures of such a contraption, or even a video of one in action?

(I can't get away from thinking it's going to be steam powered and Fred Dibner once took one to a Steam Fair)
