With his loss of goals we’ll be battling against relegation rather than fighting for promotion. The loss of prize money plus the cost of a mediocre replacement will wipe out the £20m reported anyway. I can’t see the benefit but what do I know

BBC have said it's a done deal, so he's gone for sure. Happy to get £20m for him as I think he's nowhere near that value. Dan James is a much bigger loss in my view. However, we have lost our manager and the 2 people who created/scored lots of our goals last season. Really need someone to step up now.
After the wasteful last few years of Huw’s profligate spending, and (Hedge Fund) owners who don’t want to invest, survival & viability are the names of the gameIt should be the chance for Borja to make a name for himself. Unfortunately, if he does, he’ll be gone in January. At the minute I feel we’re just surviving, rather than developing, window by window.

We haven't kicked a ball in anger yet and there's some who've given up and others who are cock sure they're the bees knees ( no one from this site) , time will tell who'll be right but for me the season starts next week and imo it'll be a good one for us , maybe not league winners but progression in the right direction

Palmer’s off to Bristol CityAlan Nixon is claiming that we are looking to secure Jake Clarke-Salter and Kasey Palmer on loan from Chelsea.
He also says that the Club is expecting an offer for VdH

I was quite positive about this season, even though there were minimal additions to the squad. But I worry now where our goals are now going to come from, maybe we will bring in another striker and solve that issue as I think we will have to score 2 to win a game as we again look poor at set pieces defensively. still think we have enough to stay in the league though. We haven't kicked a ball in anger yet and there's some who've given up and others who are cock sure they're the bees knees ( no one from this site) , time will tell who'll be right but for me the season starts next week and imo it'll be a good one for us , maybe not league winners but progression in the right direction
I still am , its the anticipation which makes it all worth while , without it what's the point., The Club have brought in some decent backroom staff, why if they're not to be utilised remember its the yanks who must have ok'd their employment . There still 8 days of the window open and to be honest 20 million for Ollie was price we couldn't turn down and if that's enough to clear the "black hole and means the yanks jog off quicker then so be it , a price worth paying imoI was quite positive about this season, even though there were minimal additions to the squad. Big gamble selling our only goal scorer, yes Baston has pedigree, but his goals have been poor these last few seasons in Spain, I hope that he can turn his game around, he should be able to do it in the Championship, still think we need another striker.
Soon as I saw Baston back at the club training and playing in pre-season, I new that Mcburnie was gone, season could go either way, though I am still positive.........![]()

Guess he means his goals ‘return’ (number of goals)Phil, there's no such thing as a poor goal![]()
