Whyte has joined for an undisclosed fee, undisclosed fee...what are they hiding from and from whom? Avery football fan has a right to know and understand the costs incurred of a transfer fee, it gives a sense of understanding and involvement! Fug off! :emoticon-0103-cool:
 
That's the official line - most media outlets are reporting around the £2M mark with Crusaders getting a decent lump for their sell on clause negotiated when he joined Oxford.

I used to go and watch Crusaders when I lived in Belfast. I also remember going to see them in Newport when they were drawn against County in one of the Euro competitions many years ago. Anyone else at this game?

UEFA Cup Winners Cup

I was probably at the Newport home leg which County won 4.0, September 1980. At Crusaders it was 0.0.

I can't check as I disposed most of my programme collection when we moved 2 years ago.

I know I was at the fateful quarter final home leg v Carl Zeiss Jena later in the season. A draw would have seen County in the semi final v Benfica (I think). Unfortunately they lost 1.0 after drawing 2.2 out there. They went a goal down early on and it was like Custer's Last Stand and the Alamo rolled into one from then on.

Yeah I went to that game as well BFB. After the heroics of a 2-2 away result there were hopes of an upset in the home leg. Wasn’t to be bit a great night in front of a big crowd.
