I thought we'd have a deal, yes. If we'd looked at something like the Norway model we'd have had something by now. It's not people like me that are the problem, Paul, it's those at the extremes of both camps. I've written on this thread about this before, months and months ago. You liked it so much a little bit of wee came out.

I did earlier, keep up. It was so brilliant that even Strolls, Yorkie, Odie and Watford threw themselves at my feet in adoration.

I did and after the wee a small amount of another discharge followed

Three years on everyone should admit they know a lot more than in 2016

Hope a deal is possible to prevent hardship that is where I am at today

If anyone can convince me that the pros outweigh the cons of not being in Europe then please have a go ... it makes no difference to me personally but I am proud I still seem to care

A no deal is totally irresponsible to both remainers and leavers imo

It will be spun again that the EU is somehow to blame of course. Everyone needs to take a big stock check on exactly how professional they have been working on Brexit

Can anyone defend the U.K. ?

All of a sudden with no substance at all the old chip set has cut in amongst the sheep and I fully expect them to accept the messages delivered

Boris is brilliantly entertaining and very well liked as a person no doubt but words will only go so far on this imo

It’s we won the war all over again inside the English mentality imo

We English on the whole are not as good as we believe we are ... sad but very true

Oh plus we are completely self obsessed and ignorant to the fact we are behind in most things in Europe . How that changes is with a massive change in culture and mentality and about 25 years imo

Not true. It was one of Cameron's warnings that if there was no deal, we would go into WTO

I know it's a rather mundane, non political, question - but where does the name 'Odie' come from ? <confused>

    Ah, that would be telling!

I used to call Swords ‘Travis’. Yours is much, much easier and, as you say, rather mundane.

Such bollocks being spouted on here as usual.

As for the EU being better prepared for 'no deal' than the UK, the ultra pro EU CBI have announced that, in fact, the EU are lagging behind in their preparations.

I realise this inconvenient fact won't stop the tirade of pro EU rants.

While I'm here, also bollocks is this hatred spouted by fruit cake DT towards leavers.
It's ridiculous to say that the people who voted leave should be on here explaining how Brexit should happen.
We voted for it. It's the fault of the inept and EU supporting parliament for not preparing to leave as they don't want to.
We now have a Brexit supporting cabinet who are putting preperations in place. Hence the announcement by the CBI.

Load of Churchill **** as usual
It was your government that ****ed you over
Yes new faces but you sound already sold on this Tory ****feast
Believe what you want the EU is primed as are the corporates
If there is no deal then look inwards if your fellow countrymen suffer ... that’s why I do not like leavers they haven’t thought this through properly and to date offer no plan for November

As farming stock I will always support the farmers of the U.K. and threats of unrest is only the start

Oh yeah, Project Fear. No one believed all that **** though, did they?

How many Leave campaigners said that if you vote leave you could wind up leaving without a deal?

Ok, so we've established that the Remain campaign warned about WTO through the prime minister. Osborne and other Remainers were saying the same.

    And you're saying...nah, doesn't count.

We haven't established it, you've said it. I'm not aware of anyone discussing it, least of all Leave campaigners. You and others on here have always maintained that anything Cameron and Osborne put out was horrendously exaggerated to frighten people into voting Remain. Who'd have thought that Project Fear would be proved to be Project Fact after all? Would you like to apologise?

This is not going to be a pro EU rant but rather a pro UK one. One of the side products of Brexit has been the further deterioration of relations between England and Scotland. I believe that a hard Brexit will, almost certainly, eventually lead to the break up of the UK. Did you realise that this was a possibility when voting in the referendum ? Did leave voters realise that they were driving a wedge through the UK ? Is the separation from the EU more important than the preservation of the United Kingdom ? I genuinely want to know this - would you want a hard Brexit if it leads to the break up of the UK ? It is time to give Brexit it's true name - it has little to do with Britain, but is rather a rebirth of English nationalism. Are you ready for an independent England, because that is the inevitable conclusion to the course you are taking - give it it's real name.

My guess is Ubzzz remembers your city's perfume. Nice country around there Cologne, forest and great bars/hotel/saunas where I spent an unusual (well for me) New Years Eve once, everyone was naked or with a towel only, sliding on the ice between various saunas, pools and bars with good food.

What the **** has Churchill got to do with it?
It wasn't MY government you idiot, it was THE government.
Leavers have thought it through properly.
    We voted leave.
    We should leave.

It's the cretins in parliament who have twatted it all up.....very much by design.

I'm not sold on anything from the new government yet.
Try reading what people say instead of spouting your bollocks.
