Returns - successful or otherwise

So following a recent, to remain unnamed, soppy flounce off and inevitable return I was wondering about other returns in football and when they have worked and when they have not.

Keegan at Newcastle was a shambles of course but I'm sure people can come up with better examples.

 

Fowler coming back to us, we all wanted him back but he wasnt even near the player we remembered. It never dented his reputation with us but still counts imo

I've met him a few times as I used to teach some of his children. My work colleague (a big Liverpool fan) knew he was coming and still struggled to hold a normal conversation with him when he actually arrived to simply found out how his child was doing at school.
