Boris comes to Scotland today - going to be turbulent trip for him as he is certainly not popular up here. He'll have his hands full with first Ruth Davidson, who is strongly opposed to the No-Deal scenario, and then wee jImmy Krankie. Davidson has revolutionised the Tories north of the border, and without her MPs he may struggle to get things through parliament - and with Boris in charge, it is likely that a downturn of votes for Tories would happen up here should there be a GE anytime soon. Sturgeon, meanwhile, obviously has her own agenda - Boris is the perfect PM for her as he is a) Southern, b) Posh, c) Entitled, d) a strong English nationalist - all traits that aid her and the SNP quest for independance. Be interesting to see what crowds he attracts today up here......

Oliver Letwin on Radio 4 this morning. Admitting that the UK may be perfectly ok after a no deal. Believes there may be parliamentary mechanisms to stop a no deal, but not the numbers in Parliament.

I think we'll see this more and more. Extremists in the Remain camp rowing back from their armageddon predictions to stop themselves looking dicks when it doesn't come true.

Let's hope he is right. Nobody wants a scenario where they are worse off or the economy is worse off than the status quo. What people need to see to sway their minds is a plan, just a plan of the precautions we are taking incase it does all go pear shaped. It could be argued that, if things will be fine then why the need to take precautions. Only time will tell.

If things will just be fine, what’s the point? Where’s the great Brexy bonuses?

Worth a read, perhaps it takes one of their own to admit how insufferable the 'chattering classes' really are...

Some of the self-satisfied, London cultural elite are finally beginning to understand that it isn't enough simply to preach to people what's good for them.

Not that the Emma Thompson's and Cumberbatch's will listen

I've read several times on here how some consider those on the left to be 'full of hate'. This is ironic really, because the same people will virtually explode with rage at the mere mention of Owen Jones's name, or Russell Brand's, to name but two. I can almost hear your teeth grinding Goldie, as you type the names of Emma Thompson and 'Cumberbatch'. Strange world.

People who either know deep down it’s **** or are a bit thick don’t like being told it’s ****. I can live with that.

Thompson and Cumberbatch are good actors, and have a right to an opinion like the rest of us. But when they start preaching from their diamond encrusted soap boxes, it puts my back up. I'm sure I'm not the only one

If only more entitled posh boys went into acting and fewer into politics, we might have better representation all round.
