Is anyone else having problems playing the ATR race replays? Used to be fine but suddenly they won't play.

I actually wanted to watch a replay of the Deauville 16.35 won by Earthlight

Interesting. I'm not having a problem viewing yesterday's racing at Ascot. Don't understand how that makes any difference as they are both via the ATR site

You can see Earthlight here Ron:-

    http://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/race-replays/2/3940/

He fairly hosed up and the Fabre stable had been struggling recently with a strike rate of less than 4% at one stage but they seem to be back on track of late. By Shamardal, Earthlight is bred to get a mile but he looked a sprinter there and I read after his second race that the Prix Morny was the longer term target and that has been a graveyard for Guineas hopefuls for some time now, making his quotes of 25/1 for the Newmarket Guineas unappealing when adding in the possibility that he might stay at home as Persian King did this season.

As far as rating the performance the Topspeed figure was 94 and the runner up Well Of Wisdom had an OR of 102. 3rd home Dubai Station had filled the same spot in the Norfolk Stakes and various form lines put Earthlight ahead of A'Ali who landed the Prix Robert Papin recently. Earthlight looks capable of Group 1 success with any further progress and connections report that he has surprised them with his quick start to his career and the improvement he is making between races. It will take a good one to beat him at 6F.

Thanks for that Grendel. I started off watching the all blue thinking the one with the white blaze looks one to note. Then it became obvious <laugh>

Barzalona had to hold him up for a few furlongs and then just let him go. I suspect he could do the same over further. Looks very useful

No probs Ron. The Racing Post gave Earthlight a rating of 110, which compares to Guineas favourite Pinatubo whom they have on 108. Pinatubo is favourite for the Vintage Stakes today and he could be skinny for the Guineas if he is impressive in a good looking renewal.

    Timeform update on Earthlight

Meanwhile, Andre Fabre and Godolphin also look to have an exciting prospect in Earthlight (110p from 98p) who settled matters with an impressive turn of foot to win Sunday’s Prix de Cabourg at Deauville by four lengths. He’s now unbeaten in three starts and would be an interesting runner in next month’s Prix Morny back at Deauville.
