Did you get home to find the Shroud of Turin in the linen cupboard?

Mate you are in for a treat as they are touring their 50th Anniversary this year so would expect all the hits, stunning visuals and weird, exotic dancers/spacemen.
Never seen a bad gig from Hawkwind

Ok I used the word ‘hits’ loosely :)

I’ll change it to ‘crowd faves’

I should have included AC/DC as a band I wish I had seen. Have been watching clips of them in U-Tube and paid my respects to Freemantle's most favourite son when I visited Australia many many years ago.

Great gig remembered - The Rezillos, Durham 1980. Great fun, huge energy, very loud. Flying Saucer Attack!

Festival memory - and not a pretty one. Glastonbury 98, a total wash out. This was before the festival became too hige, and there was only one dance tent (believe it's a dance village now, catering for all styles/sub-genres). Having seen Fat Boy Slim and Chemical Brothers the previous night, thought we'd head back in to catch another act the following night, and wondered why the tent appeared to be so quiet.......Now, previous night had been like dancing in thick soup, up to our knees in mud - this had obviously come to the attention of the organisers, who had the bright idea of getting the machine that sucks up the **** from the toilets in to clear the mud from the tent whilst it was quiet.....don't know who the operator was, but I'm guessing after he hit reverse on the machine and sprayed the entire tent in human **** that he didn't have a job for much longer....needless to say the dance tent was given a wide bearth by all but the most eccied up dance nuts for the remainder of the weekend!

I was never at Glasto but that is a story of legend that i heard before and thought it could be a myth...glad to see it really happened.

Talking of the Chemical Brothers...my chance of seeing them a long time back was rather eventful....it was at some dance festival at some bowl in Milton Keynes (I think) and they were gonna be the highlight for me...problem being I accepted the invite of some random fella there to try out a ‘Mercedes’ pill that he was wanting to sell, not realising how strong and potent the thing was.
I remember feeling rather strange just as the Chemical Brothers came on, seeing a few visuals and knowing I had to get out of the crowd. Next thing I know I was being woken up by a lovely young lady who was kicking me in the head (lightly) and asking her friend if she thought I was dead, all very matter of fact. She was surprised to say the least when I opens my eyes widely and shouted ‘NO, I’M ALIVE’ !!! Her face was I picture, as was probably mine.
