i see Nigel Adams the new sports minister has, in keeping with the move to the right, announced a total ban on wearing Half and Half football scarfs in and around football grounds from next season.

Sounds a bit harsh to me but then they are annoying. What do people think?

Whilst it's a bit draconian to ban half and half scarves, they do promote a sanitised version of football support. A kind of business person's idea of what a football scarf should be, rather than a football supporters. The fact that they sell is down to sheep like behaviour, in my opinion. I wouldn't have them anywhere near a football ground, but that's me.

There you go, JHS. I answered. Decent question too.

I have bought two half n half scarves in my lifetime, and I still regret giving the Saints/Inter one to my mate’s little boy.

I might ask him for it back actually, he supports Chelsea anyway.

Edit; does anyone own a Saints/Pompey one?

Weren't as much a thing last time we played them but still can't see it.

Anyway, surely there's no worse one than this in the league?

There is a (very) particular time and place for them. My father-in-law, who died a couple of years back was a life-long Fulham fan, I am a Saints fan, my kids have a strong affinity for both clubs (Southampton first, obviously!) but they have a half and half scarf hanging in their bedroom.

thats really nice - i fully support that
