Ridiculous really but apparantly hes our great hope.
The only consolation out of this is that if hes as good as he can be, then he will be worth 100s of millions.
Not happy with it but the options are:
Pay the kid he stays
Play chicken he leaves next year on a free
Sell him to bayern for 45m (dunno if thats true this year but they were prepared to pay than in jan).
Ideally we would have signed him up but too late for that now.

Duh LG a hole for yourselves though next time someone wants a pay rise. Same thing with Sanchez and United, pay one kid 180k and next player will feel they deserve the day etc
To be honest, when ever I saw him play for you guys he looked average. Bit of trickery and would fling in a few crosses from RW but nothing to suggest he’s gonna be an absolute star. Saying that, obviously young with potential.
Agreed, a bit if trickery, pace and can dribble but not much else stands out
But i think that about all youngsters. Sterling, oxo, ibe, calvert lewin, loftus cheek.
Obviously not everyone makes it but i have to admit i was wrong on sterling and loftus cheek. Still not convinced on oxo and the other 2 are still garbage (in my small assessment)
Well paying Sanchez that money has opened a can of worms. The French show pony aka Carlton Palmer with a fancy haircut now wants a pay-rise. Flappy who resembled Karius last season is getting a huge pay-rise. To top up the lunacy Marcus '13 goals in 2 seasons' Flatfoot now earns £300k a week.

Seems a very odd one. Not only given the fact we nearly signed him for 50m last year (appreciate contract is expiring end of this season) but why the hell join Betis? Wouldn’t say they are any better than Lyon who at least play CL football. Was there no one else wanting to take a risk on him? Must have been something dodgy in that medical that really put people off buying him.
