A General Election? Really?
Hasn't it been quite clear that Brexit opinion transcends party politics? Indeed, the main parties are terrified of the prospect of a GE. Look at the most recent EU election - the only winner was the Brexit Party! With a GE, they could get a sizeable number of MPs, but not enough for a majority. Just like the other parties. So we'd have a coalition government, and we all know how well they work.
Nope, I'm sorry, but a GE will not solve the current situation - and may even make it worse.
Think about it, when it comes to a pay rise for the pollies, who is going to vote against it? If it (ever) comes to a vote on making pollies do the honest thing, who's going to vote for it? Rigged? No, i wouldn't say that. Crooked? Bloody oath.Are you saying our system is rigged
But it may make some think twice about their stance if they thought they were going to lose their jobs.

Think twice about what? No party can be relied on for anything to do with Brexit. As I said, the subject transcends all party politics.
It’s tricky though isn’t it. They are representatives. Elected by people to act in their best interests. That’s not the same as doing what the people want all the time. As that’s an impractical way to run a country. In theory they are more experienced in the ways of government, politics and economics.
Too many of them think brexit is a bad idea.
If I hire an experienced mechanic to fix my brakes, would I want him to let his granny decide how he does it, or his brother the butcher.
In our parliamentary democracy it’s referenda that are controversial because they create this potential conflict of interest. Reality is they are only ever used for political gain and this is the first time the result went against ‘the plan’
To be clear, in my opinion as leave won, they should make it happen.

My point is the politicians against Brexit are trying their very best to hamstring the negotiators.
Whilst ever the EU negotiators see us split they will exploit every avenue to stop us leaving and the so called remainers are playing into their hands.
For what it's worth I would like us to leave the EU with a deal, but a deal that is fare to both sides. In my opinion the EU are using the Irish position to stop us leaving, if the Irish situation was sorted I feel sure they will come up with something else to thwart us. That's why I believe a no deal should remain on the table without it we have no negotiating power.
If you hire a mechanic to fit some new brake shoes, you would expect him to fit them, not decide not to bother because he doesn't like fitting brake shoes, or if you asked a butcher for a kilo of steak, would you be happy if he gave you chicken because he thinks it's better for you.
You’re making an analogy about the referendum, my analogy is about electing mp’s in elections to run the country, which is how our democracy works.
Referenda and parliamentary democracy are potentially conflicting forces, and that’s what we’re witnessing.
No one mentioned the Irish border situation before the referendum no one mentioned anything about a deal, they should collectively get the **** on with what the people voted for and leave the corrupt EU and stop ****ing about trying to thwart democracy
The Irish border isn't even a problem, the technology already exists to enable frictionless trade to function without the need for a hard border.
It's just an excuse by the remoaners and a trap by the EU to keep us locked in to their rules.
By Wednesday we'll have a Cabinet filled with hard Brexiteers so that'll be a step in the right direction. It obviously follows that the likes of Hammond, Gauke and other undemocratic ****s will leave, which will mean Johnson won't have the numbers in the House to get anything passed. In which case I reckon he'll do a deal with the Brexit Party and call a snap election, get a majority and get Brexit done asap.
