    Head coach Gerard Lopez confirms to RMC Sport that Liverpool have spoken to Nicolas Pepe about a move to Anfield but have yet to talk to Lille.
    Since signing Sepp van den Berg and sanctioning a few loan spells for fringe squad members, Liverpool have gone very quiet in the transfer market and threaten to remain that way until the window closes.

    One player that is consistently linked with Liverpool is Nicolas Pepe and the Lille forward has spoken to the Reds about joining them this summer, his manager Gerard Lopez has confirmed.

    Is 50/60m really that much in today’s market though? Don’t think it is when you consider how much some of these players are moving for nowadays!

    I only knew because his name was muttered a few days ago so I checked. I thought he'd be about 25-26 so not miles away, especially as he only turned 27 in April.

    It doesn’t say that we’ve illegally talked to him does it? The manager may be picking up on the clubs comments.....which may be BS.....or we may well have had a few words.....it happens....

    Problem is the wages. We should stick with our policy of low initial wages then bonuses and new contracts for performances. We don't want to end up like Man Utd with the Sanchez stupidity meaning even Lingard gets £130k/week.
