Given that DPP wouldn’t share his straw, what makes you think Ashley is selling? We’ve had lots of groups checking our books for months and months if you believe the Ashley PR but all the groups seem to do is kick tyres and then resurface every Spring/Summer to do it all over again.

I believe Ashley is genuinely buying another player but what makes him think he knows how to build a team better tha a manager of the calibre of Benitez? Joey, who I hope is/will be a good player for us, is just another Perez, Thauvin etc type namely a young player to keep a short while and then hopefully sell for profit. He’s not being bought with building a team to challenge for honours in mind, simply future profit.

My worry is that Bruce will simply toe the line and be another Pardew. I hope he proves me wrong but I’m not holding my breath. I worry that he will simply go along with Ashley’s methods meaning we will never build a team to challenge just one where players will be used to make profit for Ashley. The fact he was umpteenth choice doesn’t augur well that he will hold footballing virtues above doing whatever is necessary to keep his dream job.

Hmmm...
Will you please stop sharing your meds with Albert.
Actually, that was my first comment on any potential takeover, and I dont recall saying I subscribed to it.
All I said was it begged the question on why the suddened change from MA and mentioned the possibilty that the appointment of SB was final dig at the fans.

You do realise that I'm not old enough to remember Monty Python.

That looked a bit like the Earl at the end....
Who was who?

You can always spot Trev. He’s the one quaking in the bogs about having to buy a round. And that ham fisted Manc **** Jak is usually holding his hand as the real men buy a round.

Poor lad, coming to a club with no real creative talent. It will be a tough grind getting goals next season unless 2 or 3 other players (at least) follow him through the door.
Allan Saint-Maximin is a winger and creative player we are being stongly linked with signing alongside Joelinton. He's an exciting player - good dribbler and very fast but needs to work a bit on end product. Need a highly productive goalscorer... Don't see it happening. Probably aiming for a front three like this:

Almiron - Joelinton - Saint-Maximin

On his way to NUFC for £36million according to Bild and Kicker. Hoffenheim have also just confirmed he may be leaving them and is in 'concrete' negotiations with a Premier League club.

The £36m has already been raised through player sales, so why wouldn't Mike try and make a big deal out of it?
Season ticket sales are down so another token gesture from the Fat Man should turn the heads of the brain-dead sheep.

Aye, what better way to direct the focus away from him and the appointment of Brucie than to smash our transfer record again. Fans will be falling over one another again to snap up the remaining season tickets on general sale whilst the FCB sits there and rubs one out again safe in the knowledge that he's pulled our ****ing pants down again.
