Can anyone shed light on the benefits of playing this stupid game today?. What a stupid thing to do we are not together as a team as a lot of potential first teamers are not there. Rads is a complete knob jockey for giving permission for this to happen. Bielsa has already shown he thinks its the wrong thing too.
****ey - must say I had the same worries about Warnock taking our lot across to the North America for 3 games. Bamba and Paterson couldn't go because they were not ready to play (recovering from surgeries), and Tomlin and Madine couldn't get visas to enter the States because they've both got criminal records... The upside is though that Warnock replaced them with 4 of our upcoming under 23 prospects who will learn and bond a lot with the first team squad. At least they're all together as a squad in the sweltering heat of Texas and New Mexico, followed by a trip up to Edmonton Canadafor a testing game against Real Valladolid who are also over there. On the whole I've changed my mind and think it will do some real good.
I wouldn't know Elland because I watched for free on a dodgy box, the two downsides were, I was sober and it was on the unbiased scumTV channel. (I know our own commentators are biased, but not like the scummers)
Cooper was outstanding last season, until the final game. So I feel it's wrong to give him too much stick. Hopefully he won't do that in the League.
Harrison is quick enough and tricky enough, WTF has he got to do to stop the **** he gets from you and others.
Spot on WJ, every season certain players get IMO unnecessary stick. It makes me wonder if those fans actually support the club. I'm all for differing opinions, that's what this place is for, but FFS some of the stuff is negative for the sake of it.
It's pre-season, the likes of Pablo got 76 minutes under his belt while our defence and attackers got to see how much better they need to be if they are to compete for PL promotion, and what they can expect if they actually get there. The gulf is wide, the Scummers expected to stroll it and did, it was an opportunity for commercial promotion down under for the Leeds brand and Eleven Sports, who got a mention. Disruption of best pre-season preparation in the interests of merchandise sales and the bigger picture, I can see why Radz supported it as a high-profile marketing event, and why Bielsa wasn't happy as the man who is charged with making success in the Championship happen. We move on, and I for one am not despairing given what I've seen so far in pre-season.
Afraid I can't shed any light on the reasons behind such a stupid game, it does however prove that Radz doesn't care a fig about the history of the club, what on earth was he thinking about arranging a game against one of our traditional enemy's. Let's be honest we all knew what the result would be before a ball was even kicked. I have no doubt that the scumers gained some benefit out of the game we got nowt just gave plenty of idiots another chance to have a go at LU.
Yes I can, when it was arranged it looked like we would be in the prem this season, so would have had an extra week to get ready for the season start, would have just been a pre season cash game like all the top prem sides play.
Just a quick question before I have another go at this stupid fixture, when was it arranged and has Radz stopped counting chickens yet.
32 players get a game in one day and that happens again this weekend when we do it all again. The idea of pre season is to get fit, match fit and try tactics. We get twice as much done this week because we have 2 teams home and away and get to see U23s and if they are good enough to fit the plan
