Gives me a couple more days to work on Mrs .... encouraging her to take a trip to see her nephew in the NW :)

Saints + members are slightly more privileged members who paid £15 extra for their membership. I haven’t renewed my normal Membership yet.

Seems like another way to rip off the fans to me.

Also if we're doing well then I don't see many (any?) south of Villa going to 'normal' members.

Well, sort of. If you're someone who wants to attend only the less high profile games and a couple of League Cup ties in a season plus buy a shirt for your nipper, standard membership is your friend. If you just want to go to a couple of games, not fussed about opposition, don't mind where you sit, you'll be fine without membership if you've a purchase history with the club.
The danger is if Saints do rather well for a spell, it can get a little difficult.

By the time you've gone down the + membership route it's questionable if you get good value imo, you need to look carefully at how many games, what type and where your happy to sit to make it worthwhile.

I got fed up with the faff and bought a cheap season ticket, which is what the club would prefer you to do. So I guess the system works :)

I went to Preston on the off chance that Burnley is sold out. It's not usually but thought the first game of the season is a target for fans that don't usually bother trekking oop North. Also expecting Sheff Utd not to get to general sale, because of the novelty of the fixture. That just leaves N'castle. Couldn't get there last season because it was a bank holiday weekend and selfish southerners took my ticket. If those lazy sods at Sunderland and Boro got themselves promoted I'd be sorted.

I'm a Saints + member. I got the early bird price of £30 which is only a fiver more than the membership I paid last year so I thought why not?

Manc games? Not much further than Burnley.

I want Swansea back in the Premier League!!!!!!!! Don't think I'll get to any other games these days apart from at the Liberty <wah><wah><wah>

I just assume the tickets won't get to general sale. Anyway they are so rich, my contribution to the funds won't be missed.

There was loads of empties at the Etihad last year although that could mean we take less tickets.

Probably a few like me who have no intention of rushing back there either :)
