While i would love some of our players (Barton especially) to recerive som international recognition, i am more than happy that they haven't. The squad is so thin this is just anther opportunity for injury.
Capello hates the North East teams. I bet he couldnt beleive his luck when both Carroll and Bent left the North East

Simpson had a dodgy start last season and was slated by many on 606, mind you he got his head down and stuck to the task. He has suprised everyone with the way he has adapted to the prem but in all honesty he isn't ready or good enough for an England call up. Saying that there ain't many good English full backs out there, which is suprising.
Glenn Johnson is a ****ing JOKE player. How much? 18million ? That young lad at liverpool, Kelly is the one to watch and i think he will have a bright future...

How is the likes of Nolan, Barton, Simpson and even Harper not in that squad.

Simpson is an average right back at best, not good enough for england and at the moment barely good enough for us (yet he has improved)
Nolan doesnt offer enough in the centre of midfield to be included in the squad, he puts the goals away well nobody can argue with that but in the actual CM role hes very slow, has questionable passing and is often anonymous in games.
Barton is good enough but I'm glad hes not picked because if he gets injured we could be ****ed.
Harper is probably good enough to be the backup keeper to Hart.

Kyle Walker has been pretty good so far this season and looked miles better than anyone in the Championship, so i think he does deserve a call-up on merit. As for Glen Johnson, I do not understand why Capello has picked him. He has started to perform for Liverpool since Dalglish's return but not even as a right back. He's been playing on the left hand side.
I would say Barton was/is our best chance at getting a toon player capped, however he will always be overlooked which is a shame. Best English player in the premiership currently, shame Capello doesn't agree about picking on-form players.
