A big hats off to the Kiwis
They most definitely did not deserve to lose. The freaky overthrows off Stokes bat seems very wrong to me.

An awful lot of people on here really struggling to to understand the rules.
Played a lot of cricket in my youth and would have bet good money that if an incoming throw hit a batsman it would be deemed a “dead ball”.
I think we all get the rules Col but the fact we got a draw through a freaky 6 runs when stokes dived in and the ball hit his bat and went for 4 overthrows then drawing the super over but winning on boundaries scored on a game that was already a tie, you gotta feel for the Kiwis.
Absolutely mate.
Always need luck to win big trophies.
Stick was doubting the rules.
You knew that rule prior to the event?

We were dead and buried when we needed 23 off 9 balls but somehow the Kiwis managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The catch that turned into a comical trip on the boundary conceding six, the two successive sixes in the final over including the bat incident plus the superover needing 3 from 2 balls was all a mixture of bad luck and cracking under pressure. I doubt we'll ever see anything like it again...
