Cant remember. He looked ok first 2-3 games and then after looked like we got him out of a pub. Cant fault his effort just isnt good enough. Some idiots was booing him when he got subbed on
Puel destroyed Iheanacho Iheanacho lacks any sort of confidence what so ever. There is a player there. Just hope Rodgers can bring it out
Sure but you could also say Tielemans will likely get a lot better as he gets more experience, and has a full pre-season in him. And if anyone in the top half got an extra £100m to spend, I'd be saying the same about them (challenging top 4).
I'm taking nothing for granted next season. I'm really excited to have Ralph here, but he has some major problems to deal with, and that's going to take a lot of time to sort. If we can rehome a charlie or two in the coming weeks, I'll be a lot happier.
I see Steve Bruce is odds on favourite to be the next Newcastle manager. Has to be a wind up right? I would fancy them for the drop if it's the case.
It seems like Mike Ashley has had the fans over. The reported takeover doesn't seem very forthcoming, probably a ruse for Rafa leaving. You have to feel for the fans up there.
Been following the take over pretty closely. From the very off it didn't feel like a real Arab. Someone rather fronting for one instead. Billionaires from that part of the world take their reputations very seriously, whereas this has all felt rather tin pot. Mike Ashly has pulled another blinder, and he's going to make a mint on these new inflated prices, but they may well find themselves in massive trouble in the new season. Rafa got that group performing magic, the new guy better be Krusty the clown (side show bob is more applicable) with the size of shoe he needs to fill.Going to enjoy watching this unfold.
I think it’ll take Ralph a few seasons to get us being a genuine best of the rest contender again. We still have a lot of ****e in our squad and not anywhere near the quality we had last time we were up there. It’s a process and it’s only just begun. Hopeful for a more comfortable season than the last two with some exciting wins and fingers crossed another good cup run.
I would like Saints to be out of traps faster than lightning, catching everyone with their pants down and winning every game throughout the season. Or is that too quick? Seriously though, I would suspect that Ralph will not be hanging with steady and slow improvements. He'll know full well that other teams will come sailing by if Saints don't improve at the fastest sustainable rate.
I like a change of philosophy as much as the next person, but in the mean time I'd like us to win lots of games early in the season, so that the inevitable sag that you always get in a season isn't too traumatic. Let's be cross that we drop briefly into the bottom ten rather than into the relegation zone. Early points, please, and lots of them.
My thinking is, there's no point in us having a cracker, finishing 7th, having Ralph poached before we've even sorted our house out. I want his new philosophy to be ingrained, and the dead wood shifted before there's any hint that he'll be cruelly taken from our withering grasp. You do remember how mean football can be, right? I want him to make us so good, that even when he's gone it will take a season for us to fall back into disarray.
