Boss Neil Warnock says players may have to leave if Cardiff City are to make more signings before the new season.

The Bluebirds, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, begin their Championship campaign away to Wigan on 3 August.

The summer recruitment has been limited to midfielder Will Vaulks, goalkeeper Joe Day and defender Curtis Nelson.

"We're looking around at two or three positions where we could improve it. It all depends if players leave," he said.

"If players leave then it might open a door for another player coming in.

"We're going to play it by ear the next two weeks anyhow and have a look before the season starts at where we think we could add."

The squad we've got now are basically the squad that took us up the season before last, with some decent additions last year.

Our two midfield loanees Arter and Camarasa have understandably gone back to their parent clubs, but Will Vaulks will fill for the absent Gunnarsson.

We're in decent shape but need a proven goalscorer and they cost money. <ok>

Alex Wollerton is the 18th player to leave the club and also gone to Barnsley for an undisclosed fee. Young Alex 19yo was trying to break into the U23s but seemingly was going to find it tough.

Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey
Well I wish Pontus all the very best you gave everything whilst you were here
Jack Marriott would be a good buy to replace Roofe think they will be replacing Maupey with Marriot
What we need now is some positive news because it looks like we are having a fire sale
Phillips will be off along with Roofe what a real messall because our owner is skint!
